Wonderland of Lights is a festival conceived nearly 35 years ago and is still going strong. The month long festival in Downtown Marshall features millions of twinkling lights dawning the Historic 1901 Courthouse, carriage rides, an ice rink, Santa’s Village, train rides, and a multitude of weekend events to get you in the spirit of the season!
FireAnt Festival

Each fall the annual FireAnt Festival, held by the Marshall Chamber of Commerce, takes place in downtown Marshall. Featuring over 100 vendors, festival food, live performances, crazy contests and family outdoor activities. This festival represents the best of small-town, festival fun!
East Texas Taco Festival

Tacos! Tacos! Tacos! Who doesn’t love a great taco? The annual East Texas Taco fest hosted by the Marshall News Messenger salsas into Downtown in late summer and fills the air with live music and the scent of delicious food!
Health Fest
Health Fest is a weekend long event held in downtown Marshall and will inspire attendees to eat healthy and live a healthy lifestyle. Featuring world renowned speakers, champion athletes and top chefs all in one place! Meet bestselling authors and have a book signed on your way to a vegan wine tasting. Learn new kitchen skills by celebrity, chef-led cooking demos. Participate in a variety of fitness opportunities including yoga, Pilates, zumba, and 5k/10 race.
Second Saturdays

From March to November, the second Saturday of each month is extra special in downtown Marshall. The event combines shopping, a few vendors, local restaurants and a classic car show along North Washington. The event also features live music in Telegraph park at 7pm.
Voices: The Heartland Concert

Immerse yourself in a four day musical experience. Held each year in September, this event showcases the diversity of center stage music that makes this town so unique. Experience music under the glow of the stars along N Washington Ave in downtown Marshall all while indulging in local cuisine and drink. The festival is a partnership of the Marshall Regional Arts Council and the Marshall Symphony Orchestra.
Dixieland on the Square

Held in conjunction with Voices, Dixieland on the Square kicks off at 11:30 am in Telegraph Park and is free and open to the public.
Bear Creek Smokehouse Pasture Party

This annual event is held at Bear Creek and like it says in the title, it’s a pasture party! Live music from nationally recognized country music acts are the main event of the event held in Bear Bottom. Proceeds from this event go to support Hannah House. Market on the Square

Find your handful of happiness at Market on the Square. The season kicks off in May and runs through Mid September (sometimes even through December) every Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday 7 am-noon in downtown Marshall. Join us for homemade goodness, heartfelt handicrafts, live music and free children’s crafts on every Second Saturday.
Harvest Fest

Enjoy hayrides, life music, candy, a petting zoo, and more all for free at the annual event in downtown Marshall. Little ghouls and goblins have the opportunity to trick or treat safely downtown and get the wiggles out on one of the various bounce houses or activities.
Josey Ranch Reunion & Jr Worlds Barrel Race

For more than 50 years Marshall has served as home to world champions R.E. & Martha Josey- and of course the legendary Josey Ranch. Operating the longest running rodeo school in the country, the Josey’s have instructed over 200,000 students during their storied careers. Josey Ranch hosts several major clinics and a couple of world class events each year. These include the Josey Reunion Barrel Race and the Josey Jr. World Barrel Race. These events are held each May just a week apart- flooding Marshall with cowboys and cowgirls alike in over a 10 day period! The event is free and open to the public to enjoy!
Caddo Kennel Club Dog Show

The Caddo Kennel Club of Texas presents the AKC Dog Show each year at the City Arena. Dogs from all over the country compete for best in show. The event is free and open to the public.
Marshall Police Officers Association Rodeo

Held at the Marshall City Arena, this annual benefit rodeo features bareback bronc riding, bull riding, calf roping, barrel racing, roping and more.
Touch a Truck
This annual event is a unique, interactive event that allows children to see and explore their favorite first responder rides, commercial vehicles, heavy equipment and more! Families will enjoy an informational fair on summer programming and local events that everyone can enjoy in our community, state parks, museums and attractions. The event is free and open to the public.
