“McSally was valedictorian of her class at St. Mary Academy-Bay View in 1984 and graduated from the Air Force Academy in 1988. She also earned a master’s from Harvard University.
She made history in January 1995 by flying an A-10 Thunderbolt over Iraq in support of the United Nations’ no-fly zone, and in 2004 she took command of a fighter squadron sent to Afghanistan.”
