The Marshall Police Officers Association hosts their annual benefit Rodeo at the Marshall City Arena. The rodeo features Bareback Bronc Riding, Bull Riding, Calf Roping, Cowgirls Barrel Racing, Cowgirls Breakaway Roping, Saddle Bronc Riding, Steer Wrestling and Team Roping.

The East Texas Square and Round Dance Association hosts the East Texas Square & Round Dance Festival each year at the Marshall Convention center over a course of 2 days. The event includes a Square Dance Workshop, Fashion Show, Rounds Workshop and Square Dance Competition. The event is open to the public to watch. The Caddo Kennel Club of Texas presents the AKC Dog Show each year in Marshall, Texas at the City Arena. Dogs from all over the country compete for best in show. R.E. & Martha Josey are the owners and opperators of the legendary Josey Ranch. Operating the longest running rodeo school in the country, this champion calf roper and barrel racer have instructed well over 200,000 students at the ranch, across the nation an daround the world in their stroied careers. Josey Ranch hosts to several world class competitions including the Josey Reunion Barrel Race & The Josy JR World Championship Barrel Race. The Reunion is open to any of the 50+ years of Josey students and alumni. The Josey Ranch JR World brings the best barrel racers age 20 and under from across the country and around the world each May in Marshall, Tx. The Josey Ranch plays host to thousands of visitors every year. This lovely, unique ranch is located about 6.5 miles from Marshall on Texas Hwy 43. Visitors are encouraged to enjoy the sites of world class barrel racers, calf ropers and more like the Josey Trophy Room. While you’re there, be sure to stop into the Josey Western Store.
